Soup Kitchen is split over two floors, the ground floor is our food and drinks space. The basement is our live music and club space.
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org. Please note we are a small team and receive a high volume of emails so although we do our best we aren’t always able to get back to people individually.
Please email us on email@example.com.
Our calendar is incredibly busy, particularly on weekends, and so it’s not often possible that we can fit in private bookings. However, please do get in touch and we can always see if we have space.
The Soup Kitchen basement performance space has also been known to put on film nights, theatre and comedy evenings so please do get in touch if you have suitable ideas around these sorts of events.
We are open to events on the ground floor bar although we require them to be free entry and open to the public at all times. These events can range from DJ nights to art exhibitions and tap takeovers. Please get in touch if you have suitable ideas. Please note we don’t host open mic nights or pub quizzes.
Our performance space is strictly 18+ venue in accordance with our licensing terms. The ground floor bar is open to all ages until 10pm when it also become 18+.
Tickets for our events are sold online through the DICE app. For a full list of upcoming events please click here.
Our performance space has a cloakroom behind the bar in the basement. It costs £1 per item.
Up to small hand or shoulder bags are permitted in the performance space although please prepare for inspection by our security team. Outside food and drink is not permitted on the premises unless for a specified medical condition (please see accessibility below).
There is no step free access to the performance space where we host gigs and club nights. Our ground floor bar and kitchen have step free access.
The performance space is a standing-only venue. However, for those who are unable to stand for long periods of time it is possible to arrange a seat. This should be sorted in advance of the show by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
There is an accessible toilet at ground level in the bar and kitchen. The performance space has no step free access and thus no accessible toilet.
We are happy to try and provide personal assistant tickets for any customer who may not be able to attend a gig without the support of a personal assistant, although it is down to the discretion of the promoter putting on the event. Please contact email@example.com should you require this. You may be asked to provide evidence for the personal assistant ticket to be issued.
We are more than happy to accommodate all dogs on the ground floor bar at Soup Kitchen. Unfortunately we do not permit dogs in the basement performance space as our events use amplified sound that could potentially damage their hearing.
It is rare that strobe lighting is used during gigs although it is sometimes used at club nights. If it is there will be signage on the night letting customers know.
Soup Kitchen’s performance space is an intimate basement space and it can feel busy particularly if an event is sold out. If you are worried about whether you can attend then you are welcome to come and look at the performance space beforehand so long as you contact us in advance at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We encourage you to bring your own but earplugs are available behind the bar.
Customers are able to bring medication, food, drink or medical equipment to manage a medical condition into both the bar and performance space of Soup Kitchen.
